Hello everyone and welcome back to My Blurred World.
I hope you’re all doing really well.
Today’s post revolves around the Zoella Beauty range called Jelly and Gelato. If you’re a regular reader of my blog then you might remember that I wrote a review of Zoella Beauty Sweet Inspirations range last year which has appeared to be one of the most popular posts on my blog with people continuing to read it everyday. Since that post went down so well and since so many of you seemed interested in it I thought I’d write a review today of one of the newest launches in the Zoella Beauty collection in the hope that you find it useful in some way.
I’m aware that this range of products has been out for a couple of months now and there has been another launch so it might not be something that many of you will be interested in as it was a range that was released for summer but who doesn’t like a summer throwback, right? The products are still available to buy at Superdrug so if you are interested you can still pop into store or online to make your purchase.
I’m sure most of you will know who ‘Zoella’ is but if you are unaware of the Zoella beauty brand then here is a little bit of background for you – Zoe Sugg is one of the most popular beauty, fashion and lifestyle bloggers and YouTubers, she has gained a following of over 11 million people on her YouTube channel (Zoella) and has built a very successful career for herself. She is also an author who has released three books to date and has also created her own beauty and lifestyle range which has appeared to be very popular and has attracted the attention of many people of all ages.
I love seeing people succeed and pursuing their dreams and it seems like Zoe has definitely done this. I’ve been watching her YouTube videos for about 5 years now and have many of the products that she has released. Every range seems to improve each time and the Jelly and Gelato range is no exception.
I purchased every product within the range and I’m hoping I can give you an honest and detailed review of the products incase you’re thinking whether or not to buy the range or some of the range for yourself.
I hope you enjoy today’s post and without further ado let’s begin.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the packaging of this gorgeous range of products? It’s something I’ve never come across in a beauty collection before and there’s no denying that Zoe has been very innovative when it comes to this range, the packaging, the scent, everything about this collection is beautiful and unique which I love.
Gelat’Eau Body mist – £8
The fragrance is always one of my favourite products from each range Zoe has released and I wasn’t disappointed this time around either. Zoe has chosen a lovely elderflower and cream scent to run throughout this range, while being slightly floral and fresh, it’s definitely not a scent I’ve come across in any range of beauty products before and it’s definitely a universal one in my opinion, I think it’s one many people will love. The scent of this body mist is quite strong but not too overpowering. The only negative point I have to make about this product is that it’s not as long-lasting as I’d like it to be but it’s the perfect size bottle to be thrown into your bag and re-applied throughout the day.
Bath wafers – £5
I must admit that I’ve not got on with any of the bath fizzers that Zoe has released in her previous ranges and although I love the idea of them I can’t say that I’m too impressed this time around either. I think this is because I’m not much of a fan of any bath bombs or bath fizzers so it’s nothing against this product as I’m sure many people would love it. They turn the bath into a milky texture if that’s possible and I love that but that’s as far as the capability of this product goes. If you like these kinds of products and if you like to turn your bath into a milky/moisturizing texture then I would definitely say that this product is for you. Again, the scent is beautiful, this product is just not for me.
Shower sauce – £5
I love the play on words that Zoe uses when naming her products, they’re all so original and unique, something I’ve not come across in a brand before. The shower sauce is a body wash which again has a lovely scent which lingers on the skin which I love. It has a light texture and feels very refreshing when applied, the perfect product to wake you up in the morning.
Bath frosting – £7
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this product since I’ve never used a bath milk before so I was quite intrigued to try this one. I wasn’t sure if I would but I do really like this product, I love the fact that it’s packaged in individual sachets so no product is wasted. Similar to the bath fizzers it turns the water into a milky texture but I somehow prefer this to the fizz bar since I just see it as being easier to use. It leaves my skin feeling soft and fills the room with a lovely fragrance once again.
Shower shake – £6
This is quite possibly one of my favourite products in the range (if not my favourite). It is a mositurizing body wash which is again something I’ve never come across before but I absolutely love it. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and it’s a perfect multitasking product if you don’t have time to use both a body wash and a moisturizer afterwards. The perfect product if you’re in a rush.
Cream body scrub – £8
This isn’t like any scrub I’ve tried before, it feels balm like so it’s perfect for brightening and polishing the skin whilst not feeling too harsh. I’d go as far as to say that this is one of the best body scrubs I’ve ever tried, I love it! And for the price, it’s a bargain.
Body pudding – £8
This is another of my fave products in the range. The body pudding is again enriched with the eldeflower and pomegranate scent which I love and it sinks into the skin quickly which I love as I’m personally not a fan of having to wait around for my moisturizer to dry. This is definitely a great moisturizer for the morning as it’s not too heavy and the scent lasts for quite a while which I love.
That concludes my post for today, I hope you all enjoyed it and found it useful if you’re interested in this range and thinking of buying a product or going all out and buying the entire range like I did.
Have you tried any of the products from this range? If you have then please do let me know your thoughts in the comments as I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for reading as always.
